Christmas 2008

What a wonderful Christmas!

Christmas was so great and fun! Taylor was so cute opening her presents, and now our house looks like a toy store =) Because she is the first grandchild on BOTH sides she is already the most spoiled child I know. It is good though she is so loved and she is such a happy baby because of it!

Walking....

Taylor took some of her first "real", meaning steady, steps tonight! I cannot believe that she's already to the point of walking, I feel like she just got here.

She has been standing on her own progressively for about 2 weeks. she started with a few seconds to full minutes and now can stand alone like a pro.

Last night she was standing up at my feet and I began to walk backwards and she took steps to follow me. She took 4 really good steps and then her tush found the floor! I was so proud, and had a revelation....I must somehow figure out how to wire the house with constantly running video recorders! How in the world do people catch stuff on camera?!

1st Halloween!

Bzzzzz....

Our precious princess is growing up entirely too fast. She's crawling, pulling up on everything, and wants to be where the action is all of the time!

She's Swimming?

Not really swimming, but floating. We started her in aquatic survival lessons. My parents have a pool and Daniel's dad has a lake, so we decided to do the lessons to help her learn to flip herself over and float until she can be rescued. The lessons are amazing and it is unbelievable what Taylor is doing only after 1 week. She can already float on her own, we are now working on going from a face down position (she hates it) to floating on her back. We are hoping this will help if she ever does fall in by accident.

Big Girl in a High Chair!

Loving the high chair! Finally. Taylor was able to sit up well enough to use her high chair and she loves it! Although I am not sure I love the mess she creates!

Family Vacation! Destin, Florida

Mother's Day 2008

For mother's day Taylor was dedicated at church. We pledge to raise her in a home filled with love, kindness and most importantly God.

Daddy Look Alike

It's amazing how much Taylor looks like her daddy.

I would think for sure being a girl she'd atleast kind of look like me, but no, maybe when we have a boy he'll get some of my characteristics.

What an experience....Taylor cried through most of her first bath. We had a great time though with mom, dad and Nana all there to help.

Coming Home!

Leaving the hospital it was hard to believe we were actually going to take her home and start our journey into parenthood. I was incredibly excited, but also completely clueless as to how everything was going to work.

We had Taylor all dressed and ready for her trip home. She was so tiny, I felt like I could easily break something if I moved her too hard or too quick...thank goodness they are not as fragile as you think!
